Who We Are
If you’re like a lot of us, you cast your first vote in an election every couple of years, and wonder if you’re making a difference. Whether you know it or not, you’re casting a vote every day and making a difference, sometimes in support of causes and issues that you would never support on your own. That’s where 2ndVote comes in.

The Conservative Watchdog for Corporate Activism
Launched in 2013 upon learning that March of Dimes donations were being funneled to Planned Parenthood, Dr. David L. Black, a scientist by trade, became curious to know what other liberal organizations were being funded by consumer spending and donations. Our founder would never fund or vote for Planned Parenthood with his 1st vote at the ballot box, and therefore neither did he want to with his “2ndVote” through everyday spending and giving.

As the conservative watchdog for corporate activism, 2ndVote exposes the corporations and organizations funding liberal advocacy. By putting big business on watch through our extensive research on the most important issues of the day, our mission is to expose the corporate influence on matters of culture and policy and turn the tide on the attacks on conservative values and principles.

Learn How We Score
1: The score of 1 indicates direct donations or direct support to a liberal group, cause, organization, or non-profit.

2: The score of 2 indicates indirect donations or indirect support to a liberal group, cause or organization or non-profit. For example: When a company contributes to a United Way chapter that funds Planned Parenthood.

3: The score of 3 indicates neutrality on an issue. Either a company has no record of supporting or not supporting any issue or the company has given to equally between liberal and conservative groups, causes, organizations and non-profits.

4: The score of 4 indicates indirect donations or support to a conservative group, cause, organization or non-profit.

5. The score of 5 indicates direct donations or supports to a conservative group, cause, organization or non-profit.

Lieutenant Colonel (Ret) Allen B. West is a Christian constitutional conservative, combat veteran, and former member of the US Congress. His life has been defined as one of service, sacrifice, and commitment to this Republic, the United States of America. He believes it will be conservative, free-market policies — not politics — that secure a sound economic future for Americans – with growth, opportunity and returning the promise of the American dream for this generation and those to come.

Allen West was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia in the same neighborhood where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once preached. He is the third of four generations of military servicemen, all combat veterans, in his family.

West was commissioned through ROTC at the University of Tennessee as a Second Lieutenant (2LT) on July 31, 1982. He entered active duty service in the U.S. Army on November 1, 1983, at Fort Sill to attend the Field Artillery Officer Basic Course. He later attended airborne and jumpmaster training at Fort Benning. West’s first assignment was as an airborne infantry company fire support team leader and battalion training officer in the 325th Airborne Battalion Combat Team. In 1987, he was promoted to Captain and attended the Field Artillery Officer Advanced Course.

He was then assigned to the 1st Infantry Division, where he commanded Bravo Battery, 6th Field Artillery Regiment and was a Battalion Task Force fire support officer for 2d Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment. While with the 1st Infantry Division, he participated in Operations Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.

After redeployment from Kuwait, West served as an ROTC instructor at Kansas State University from 1991 to 1994. In January 1995, he was assigned to the 2nd Infantry Division Support Command as the Assistant Operations/Combat Plans Officer. During that time, West was promoted to Major and selected for attendance to the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and graduated in 1997. Afterward, he became the Operations Officer of the 18th Field Artillery Brigade (Airborne), followed by assignment as the Executive Officer of the 1st Battalion (Air Assault), 377th Field Artillery Regiment. Upon completion of these positions, West was assigned to the II Marine Expeditionary Force in Camp Lejeune, and selected to serve as an Army exchange officer to this headquarters from 1999 to 2002.

West’s culminating assignment to his career was as Battalion Commander of the 2d Battalion 20th Field Artillery, 4th Infantry Division. He assumed command of this unit on June 6, 2002. He deployed with his unit during the Iraq War in 2003 and continued to command his battalion until his retirement from the Army in 2004 after 22 years of honorable service in defense of the Republic.

West’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star; Meritorious Service Medal (three Oak Leaf Clusters); Army Commendation Medal (three Oak Leaf Clusters, one Valor Device); Army Achievement Medal (two Oak Leaf Clusters); Valorous Unit Award; Air Assault Badge; and the Master Parachutist Badge. Lt Col West proudly wears the Army Master Parachutist Badge, the Army Air Assault Badge, the Navy/Marine Corps Parachutist Insignia, the Italian Parachutist Wings, and the German Proficiency Badge, bronze award.

After his retirement from the Army in 2004, Allen taught high school in South Florida for a year before volunteering and deploying to Afghanistan as a civilian military adviser to the Afghan army, an assignment he finished in November 2007.

In November of 2010, Allen was honored to continue his oath of service to his country when he was elected to the United States Congress, representing Florida’s 22nd District. As a member of the 112th Congress, West introduced seven major pieces of legislation, and was the original sponsor of H. R. 1246 which reduces costs at the Department of Defense, which passed unanimously (393-0), and signed into law by President Obama as part of the National Defense Authorization Act. Congressman West voted for the Balanced Budget Amendment and voted for over 30 different bills designed to empower small businesses, reduce government barriers to job creation, boost American competitiveness, encourage entrepreneurship and growth, and maximize American energy production.

West holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and two Masters, one from Kansas State University, and another from the US Army Command and General Staff Officers College.

He is a Fox News Contributor, Director of the Booker T. Washington Initiative at the Texas Public Policy Foundation, Senior Fellow at the Media Research Center, contributing columnist for, and author of Guardian of the Republic: An American Ronin’s Journey to Family, Faith and Freedom. His second book, Hold Texas, Hold the Nation: Victory or Death, was released in the fall of 2018 from Brown Books Publishing Group.

He is the former Executive Director of the National Center for Policy Analysis in Dallas, Texas.

West is an avid distance runner, a Master SCUBA diver, a motorcyclist, and, in his spare time, he enjoys cheering his beloved Tennessee Volunteers.

Lt. Col. West is a legacy life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, life member of the American Legion, life member of the Association of the United States Army and the Society of the First Infantry Division, Patriot Life Member (Benefactor) and Board of Directors member of the National Rifle Association. Lieutenant Colonel West is an inductee into the University of Tennessee Army ROTC Hall of Fame. He is on the Board of Advisors of Amegy Bank, Dallas Region. In 2016, Lt. Col. West was appointed by Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick to the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission. He is married to Dr. Angela Graham-West, a financial adviser, and they have two daughters, Aubrey, who recently graduated with her Masters from Southern Methodist University, now attending Physician Assistant school in West Virginia, and youngest daughter, Austen.

This site offers Lt. Col. West’s thoughts, insights, and perspectives.

Having collaborated for over four years on many high-profile cases, in January 2012, attorneys David Yerushalmi and Robert J. Muise decided to formalize their working relationship by together launching the American Freedom Law Center (AFLC). Yerushalmi, an orthodox Jew, and Muise, an orthodox Catholic, describe AFLC as the Nation’s first truly authentic Judeo-Christian, public interest law firm.

The American Freedom Law Center’s mission is to fight for faith and freedom through litigation, education, and public policy programs.

The strength of our Nation lies in its commitment to a Judeo-Christian heritage and moral foundation and to an enduring faith and trust in God and His Providence. AFLC seeks a return to America’s founding commitment to receive God’s continued blessing to preserve the soul of this great Nation.

AFLC is first and foremost a public interest litigation firm. It aggressively seeks to advance and defend our Nation’s Judeo-Christian heritage in courts all across our Nation.

For good or ill, the battle for America’s soul is being waged in the courtrooms across America, pressed forward by secular progressives and sharia-advocating Muslim Brotherhood interests.

AFLC’s aggressive and innovative litigation team has forged new battle lines against our Nation’s enemies in both federal and state courts. To that end, AFLC prosecutes cases to advance and defend religious liberty, freedom of speech, the sanctity of human life, and the traditional family. It crafts litigation to promote limited government, a renewed federalism, and a strong national defense, which includes the right of private citizens to bear arms.

AFLC’s litigation team is experienced, committed to the mission, and fearless. They have over four decades of litigation experience in state and federal trial and appellate courts all across the country. And they are specialists in constiutional law with an emphasis on the First Amendment. First and foremost, the AFLC attorneys are deeply committed to their faith, their families, and this great Nation.

Big League Politics is a fast-paced news site led by a team of top-level investigative reporters, filmmakers, and citizen journalists all over the country. We challenge powerful politicians in both the Republican and Democratic Parties. We are not conservative. We are not liberal. We are road warriors fighting the good fight for journalism. How did this happen? It happened because the mainstream media and corporate journalism outlets are bought off by shady interests and they don’t tell the truth. We got sick and tired of it. That’s why most of our writers are completely incapable of getting a job anywhere else.

The prevailing themes on Big League Politics form a new American political identity, one that emphasizes economic nationalism and bipartisan patriotism. America is a country with its own values and interests. The establishment will always try to rig the system in favor of globalism in the markets and U.S.-led wars overseas. We seek to forge a new path, bringing together conservatives, progressives, libertarians, independents and all those who believe that America should be put First.

Our Ethics

1. All stories on Big League Politics are factually accurate.

2. All stories on Big League Politics are in the public interest. We don’t suck up to politicians. We expose corruption and give people the best information on the politics of the day. If we’re reporting it, then it’s important.

3. No target is too big or too small. If someone has broken the public trust, we will be there in his/her face with a video camera.

4. We let our writers have a voice. It is not our job to agree with everything that our writers say. But free speech is under attack at most publications and we think that’s wrong. At Big League Politics, censorship is a dirty word.

5. We report on all the political games of the week so that you can play along at home. We want you, the readers, to get involved in our projects and to send us videos and stories.

6. We are a journalist-owned company. We believe in rewarding merit, and merit only. We do not take kindly to outside influences trying to buy up media outlets in ways that disadvantage journalists.

7. We do not belong to the Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Green, or even Bull Moose parties. We are independent people telling independent stories and working on issues that we care about. Our only goal is to tell the truth.

8. We are constantly on the road.

Though we have bases of operation in different major cities including Washington, D.C., we don’t get tied down anywhere. We are moving to wherever the story is. Always. Eight rules is enough. Let’s go save journalism!

The United States public has lost its connection with the First Amendment, leaving protected speech more vulnerable than ever before in modern history.

That’s why Campaign for Free Speech was created.

Recent polling results show that nearly 80% of Americans don’t understand the basics on what the First Amendment protects, while free speech and free press continues to be threatened in the courts, Congress, and in our culture.

CFS is dedicated to ensuring that all Americans may use their First Amendment rights to express ideas responsibly; a cornerstone of liberty and democracy in the United States.

We believe that it is only through the ability to discuss, debate, and criticize ideas that we as a society can come to evolve and advance them.

CFS stands as a vehicle to reinvigorate the nation’s understanding of free speech and freedom of the press; to remind us why the First Amendment is first.

The Capital Research Center was established in 1984 to examine how foundations, charities, and other nonprofits spend money and get involved in politics and advocacy, often in ways that donors never intended and would find abhorrent.

From the start, CRC has exposed how those organizations are “captured” by interest groups and used to undermine Americans’ freedoms.

Today, we study unions, environmentalist groups, and a wide variety of nonprofit and activist organizations. We also keep an eye on crony capitalists who seek to profit by taking advantage of government regulations and by getting their hands on taxpayers’ money.

We’re not afraid to take on the Washington Establishment—Republican, Democrat, or anyone else.

CRC reports take the form of articles on this website, newspaper and magazine articles, and books. We’re also a source of information for commentators and people in the news media.

We do have a specific point of view. We believe in free markets, Constitutional government, and individual liberty. But facts are facts, and our journalists and researchers go where the facts lead them.

CRC is tax-exempt and fiercely independent. We perform no contract work and we accept no government funds—not one cent. We depend on voluntary contributions to fund our important work.

We are the Capital Research Center, “America’s investigative think tank.”

The Cato Institute is a public policy research organization — a think tank — dedicated to the principles of individual liberty, limited government, free markets, and peace. Its scholars and analysts conduct independent, nonpartisan research on a wide range of policy issues.

Founded in 1977, Cato owes its name to Cato's Letters, a series of essays published in 18th- century England that presented a vision of society free from excessive government power. Those essays inspired the architects of the American Revolution. And the simple, timeless principles of that revolution — individual liberty, limited government, and free markets — turn out to be even more powerful in today's world of global markets and unprecedented access to information than Jefferson or Madison could have imagined. Social and economic freedom is not just the best policy for a free people, it is the indispensable framework for the future.

The Center for Immigration Studies is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit, research organization. Since our founding in 1985 by Otis Graham Jr., we have pursued a single mission – providing immigration policymakers, the academic community, news media, and concerned citizens with reliable information about the social, economic, environmental, security, and fiscal consequences of legal and illegal immigration into the United States. Our staff has testified before Congress over 125 times.

We are the nation’s only think tank devoted exclusively to the research of U.S. immigration policy and is a leading voice in the drive to inform policymakers and the public about immigration’s far-reaching impact. The Center is animated by a unique pro-immigrant, low-immigration vision which seeks fewer immigrants but a warmer welcome for those admitted.

The Center is governed by a diverse board of directors that has included active and retired university professors, civil rights leaders, and former government officials. Our research and analysis has been funded by contributions and grants from dozens of private foundations, from the U.S. Census Bureau and Justice Department, and from generous individual donors.

Our board, our staff, our researchers, and our contributor base are not predominantly "liberal" or predominantly "conservative." Instead, we believe in common that debates about immigration policy that are well-informed and grounded in objective data will lead to better immigration policies.

The data collected by the Center during the past quarter-century has led many of our researchers to conclude that current, high levels of immigration are making it harder to achieve such important national objectives as better public schools, a cleaner environment, homeland security, and a living wage for every native-born and immigrant worker. These data may support criticism of US immigration policies, but they do not justify ill feelings toward our immigrant community.

The Chicks on the Right website was founded by Amy Jo Clark and Miriam Weaver in 2009 during a lunch-hour conversation over a bowl of chips and salsa. Amy Jo (Daisy) and Miriam (Mock) went to lunch every day during the summer of 2008, and it was during those lunch hours that they found themselves chatting about politics, the 2008 presidential election, the state of the country, and how they felt underrepresented in conservatism.

The website launched on February 27, 2009, their social media pages soon after, and ever since, the Chicks’ mission has been to advance the cause of conservatism through data-driven and opinion-driven commentary in an informal and entertaining way. They neither profess nor intend to be political experts or journalists, but rather offer a fun alternative to traditional news outlets and provide a forum for everyday people to have a voice (and a place to poke fun) about their country’s leaders, policies, and political and cultural direction. The site is lighthearted and sarcastic in nature, and the Chicks present commentary about the latest political stories and cultural happenings in a way that’s far more miniskirt than business suit.

In 2013, after an explosion of growth, the Chicks were offered a Saturday afternoon radio show on Indianapolis’ 93WIBC FM station. A few months went by, and they auditioned for and “won” the afternoon drive-time weekday timeslot, which led them to leave the corporate world and become full-time Chicks on the Right. A few short months later, they landed a book deal, and in October of 2014, Right for a Reason: Life, Liberty, and a Crapload of Common Sense hit bookshelves everywhere.

In early 2015, the Chicks realized that their website and social media presence had grown enough that they were able to add talented writers to their team, who continued to carry the conservative torch in the same voice and tone that the Chicks on the Right brand is known for. In 2019, as their full time writers moved on to other career opportunities, the Chicks began offering internship writing opportunities to other women to cast the conservative chick net even wider.

After two years of drive-time radio-ing, the Chicks asked for a time-switch so that they’d be able to enjoy after school activities and dinner with their families, and moved to their current spot – 9-11 am weekdays. In addition to managing the continued growth of their brand, and mentoring their “chickterns”, they continue to write for their website, and also do local and national speaking engagements. They’ve also appeared as guests on such TV programs as Fox and Friends, Varney & Company, CNN Tonight, and various syndicated radio programs as well.

City Journal is the nation’s premier urban-policy magazine, “the Bible of the new urbanism,” as London’s Daily Telegraph puts it. During the 1990s, City Journal was integral to the revitalization of New York City. The Public Interest called it “the magazine that saved the city.”

But City Journal is a national, not just a local, force, with a readership that spans the U.S. The country’s most thoughtful journalists are among the quarterly magazine’s subscribers, as are top businessmen and financiers. Public officials from coast to coast look to the magazine as a regular source of policy guidance. Leading newspapers, from the Wall Street Journal to the Los Angeles Times, regularly print adaptations of City Journal articles, disseminating the magazine’s influence to millions of readers.

City Journal offers a stimulating mix of hard-headed practicality and cutting-edge theory, with articles on everything from school financing, policing strategy, and welfare policy to urban architecture, family policy, and the latest theorizing emanating from the law schools, the charitable foundations, even the schools of public health. Since urban policy encompasses almost all domestic policy questions, as well as the largest issues of our culture and society, the magazine views its canvas as very broad indeed. The magazine holds itself to the highest intellectual, journalistic, and literary standards, aiming to produce absorbing reading for intelligent and discerning readers.

Welcome to the Civilian Intelligence Network. This network consists of like-minded individuals that have come together with the intention of promoting Canadian patriotism and unity. Our goal is to help inform Canadians about the political landscape and those within our government whose intentions are to erode Canadian Sovereignty. Our members may not necessarily ascribe to the same political ideals and are not a group devoted to promoting any one candidate or party. Instead, we like to think of ourselves as researchers with one common goal: uncovering and releasing information that has been withheld from the Canadian public. This is an open source network and it does not advocate one single political opinion or view, it does not limit free speech or expect its members to adhere to a single set of doctrines. This network serves but one single purpose: to expose the truth. Our vision is to keep the Canadian political arena in check.

To return to limited government, conservatives must return to the principles of the American Founding. The Claremont Institute provides the missing argument in the battle to win public sentiment by teaching and promoting the philosophical reasoning that is the foundation of limited government and the statesmanship required to bring that reasoning into practice.

Who We Are
We are a think tank that teaches, writes, and litigates. Since our founding in 1979, our strategy has been to teach the principles of the American Founding to the future thinkers and statesmen of America. Those principles include the foundational doctrines of natural rights and natural law found in the Declaration of Independence; the ingenious political science of the Constitution; and the popular constitutionalism or reverence necessary for the maintenance of free government.

What We Do
Rather than concentrate on policy like many other think tanks, the Claremont Institute teaches the principles and ideas that shape policy over time to the few that will go on to positions of leadership in media, politics, law, speechwriting, and academia.

CNSNews reports the stories the liberal media refuse to cover. Under the skillful editorial stewardship of long-time conservative writer and Pulitzer Prize nominee Terry Jeffrey, CNSNews has emerged as the conservative media’s lynchpin for original reporting and breaking news.

CNSNews was launched on June 16, 1998, as a news source for individuals, news organizations and broadcasters who put a higher premium on balance than spin and seek news that’s ignored or under-reported as a result of media bias by omission.

Study after study by the Media Research Center, the parent organization of CNSNews, clearly demonstrates a liberal bias in many news outlets – bias by commission and bias by omission – that results in a frequent double-standard in editorial decisions on what constitutes "news."

In response to these shortcomings, MRC Chairman L. Brent Bozell III founded CNSNews in an effort to provide an alternative news source that would cover stories that are subject to the bias of omission and report on other news subject to bias by commission. In order to address the lack of conservative opinions in major news outlets across the country, CNSNews gives voice to some of the top conservative minds in the country in its Commentary section. endeavors to fairly present all legitimate sides of a story and debunk popular, albeit incorrect, myths about cultural and policy issues. has a full staff of credentialed journalists at its world headquarters in Reston, Virginia, staffs full time news bureaus in Jerusalem and the Pacific Rim, and works with credentialed correspondents in London, Paris, Moscow and Nairobi. In addition to news, is proud to present a full slate of commentaries by some of the brightest minds and sharpest wits in the nation, and a full stable of cartoonists to provide you with a morning political chuckle. is a division of the Media Research Center, a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) organization. Like National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting System, is able to provide its services and information to the public at no cost, thanks to the generous support of our thousands of donors and their tax-deductible contributions. However, unlike NPR or PBS, does not accept any federal tax money for its operations.

COMMENTARY is America’s premier monthly magazine of opinion and a pivotal voice in American intellectual life. Since its inception in 1945, and increasingly after it emerged as the flagship of neoconservatism in the 1970s, the magazine has been consistently engaged with several large, interrelated questions: the fate of democracy and of democratic ideas in a world threatened by totalitarian ideologies; the state of American and Western security; the future of the Jews, Judaism, and Jewish culture in Israel, the United States, and around the world; and the preservation of high culture in an age of political correctness and the collapse of critical standards.

Many of COMMENTARY’s articles have been controversial, and more than a few have been hugely influential, touchstones for debate and discussion in universities, among policy analysts in and out of government, within the ranks of professionals and community activists of all kinds, and in circles of serious thought worldwide. A large number of articles can be counted as landmarks of American letters and intellectual life. Agree with it or disagree with it, COMMENTARY cannot be ignored. To read it is to take part in the great American discussion.

COMMENTARY was founded in 1945 by the American Jewish Committee. To learn more about AJC, which has worked since 1906 to safeguard and strengthen Jews and Jewish life worldwide by promoting democratic and pluralistic societies that respect the dignity of all peoples, click here.

WHO ARE WE? is a network of firearm instructors across the country, an online store of firearm accessories, and a media outlet for the firearm industry. We have a team of instructors that teach in person and online firearm training classes across the United States.

Our company goal is to empower and prepare 1 million gun owners to act as “sheepdogs” or citizens that are prepared and willing to protect the innocent in our society from the criminals, predators, and terrorists that would feed on our communities. We do this by providing training, news, information, and products that help the American Gun Owner accomplish this task.

We believe that in this society everyone is safer and better prepared by obtaining as much education, training, and knowledge as possible. We believe that firearm training is a lifelong pursuit. We believe in justice for the unjust, education for the people, and security for the public.

The Conservative Opinion is a political blog founded and owned by editor in chief Kambree Nelson. Our writers provide opinion-based commentary covering politics and world events. As the name of our site indicates, we specialize in conservative opinions that we believe are grossly under-represented by establishment reporters which a 2014 study showed are only 7% Republican. We value accuracy and transparency. Our writers cross-check their facts with multiple credible sources, and always cite and link their sources. We also publish a running list of corrections and mark any articles that have been substantially modified as soon as there are changes.

At some point or another, every voter has felt like they have been duped – sold a fake bill of goods. Politicians and candidates run ads telling conservatives what they want to hear because campaign ads, like it or not, work. Politicians are selling a product, themselves, to you the voter.

To cut through the talking points and the smoke and mirrors, Conservative Review® employs two main tools: the Liberty Score® and our conservative commentary.
